GarageBand is a great tool for people of all skill levels. From musicians and songwriters to podcasters and video producers, GarageBand offers templates and tools for you to make your best work - all with a few clicks of your mouse or taps on your touch screen. This latest update includes some new features like Drummer, something called Magic GarageBand that continuously generates music from the instruments in the project, as well as enhancements to Audio Unit plug-ins. It’s never been easier to be a musician with Garage Band. In the classic user interface you can import audio from your Music library or from files you’ve imported to your computer. You can record new parts by clicking the record button, and then playing an instrument or singing into a microphone. You can also edit tracks that have been imported using the track editor to cut out silence, change the volume of a track, fade tracks in and out, create crossfades between tracks and more. When you’re done editing a project, you can make a podcast by choosing export as podcast or burn it to CD. With this latest update, you can now import audio via iCloud. You can also share your project with friends or colleagues by emailing them a link that contains all of the project's assets - just like the way you share documents on the web. GarageBand 6 introduces new instruments including an Electric Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys, Vocals and Synth. It also includes new Drummers to play along with tracks using click-and-play parts, or you can record one of your own drum parts for use in your project. is an electronic drum kit that contains one hundred high-quality sounds for creating beats and beats sequences with up to three layers per track. Also included is the Guitar Kit, which contains over one hundred high-quality sounds including bass guitars, electric guitars, electric pianos and more. The new Electric Guitar Kit has an acoustic guitar, six stringed guitar and two types of six stringed guitar - electric and acoustic. A fretless guitar is also included as an additional option. These instruments are designed to work together with GarageBand from immediately after import from audio files or from audio that you have already recorded. In the future, as GarageBand ships support for other instruments will be added. In the meantime you can download other instrument libraries to use as a starting point for your own ideas. In previous versions of GarageBand the playback of loops and tracks was not in time with the master tempo, but in version 6.0.5 that is no longer an issue. You can also adjust the master tempo via a tap with two fingers, which is very nice and easy to use. A tap with one finger will bring up a scrubbing tool that you can use to move around in time if you want to fix any rough edges or re-centre your song.
